There are numerous scholarship programmes launched for students who belong to economically weaker sections to offer them financial assistance to complete their studies. ISHAN UDAY Scholarship is one of them, which is launched every year in the month of August for the students. This scholarship will aim to promote higher education, by implementing 10,000 scholarships every year for students. To encourage these meritorious students the department launched ISHAN UDAY Scholarship to offer financial assistance to the selected students.

• The ISHAN UDAY Scholarship will grant 10,000 scholarships that will be distributed to the beneficiary student through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) at the rate of Rs. 5400 per month for General Degree courses and Rs. 7800 per month for Technical and Professional degrees.

Ishan Uday Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The ISHAN UDAY Scholarship registration process requires that you meet the following qualifying requirements.

• To be selected for the scholarship the applicant must be an undergraduate student.
• The candidates must be a residents of the North Eastern Region.
• The candidate must pursue professional, general, or technical courses in a college that has received UGC approval.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakhs.
• An applicant must have graduated from a recognised high school, college, or university in the eastern region, including CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS, to be considered.
• Candidates may profit from this scholarship if they have been admitted to integrated courses.

Documents Required for Scholarship Ishan Uday

While applying for the scholarship, the following documents must be uploaded.

• The appropriate authorities must issue a domicile certificate.
• Annual income documentation must be issued by the appropriate government.
• The annual progress report and proof of continued enrollment must be uploaded to and verified by the relevant university, institution, or college to renew.

Selection Process Under Uday Scholarship Ishan

The ISHAN UDAY Scholarship must be used to meet the following requirements.

• The UGC will award about 10,000 scholarships each year.
• If there are more than 10,000 applicants, the choice will be made based on the student’s performance.
• The applicant who received high scores in their 12th-grade examination will be given more consideration.
• The distribution of scholarship slots is influenced by the population count in the NE region.
• Every year, a new application for the scholarship is submitted to the portal.
• If there are no contenders for the open positions in one state, those positions are dispersed equally among the other states.
• The Government of India has established guidelines for the reservation of PwD candidates.

Application Procedure for ISHAN UDAY Scholarship

• First, go to the National Scholarship Website
• In front of you will emerge the home page.
• Now you have chosen “New Registration” from the drop-down menu on the homepage.
• Before you will appear a fresh web page.

• Then select the Continue option.
• In front of you, the registration form will appear.
• You must fill out all the information requested on the forms, including

• The OTP will then be texted to your mobile device.

Ishan Uday Scholarship Login

• First, you have to go to the National Scholarship Portal’s official website.
• In front of you will emerge the home page.
• Here you have to select New Login from the menu.
• After that you have to choose the application year.
• Now input the password and application ID.
• At last click on the Login button by clicking on it.

Track the Application Status

• Applicants first need to visit the National Scholarship Portal’s official website to check the status of their application.
• In front of you will emerge the home page.
• Here you have to select the Fresh/ Renewal Login option in accordance with your preference.
• After that, choose the application year.
• Enter your login information to sign in successfully.
• The application status page should now appear.
• After entering the application number, select the View option from the menu.
