Objective of Scholarship for Polytechnic Students

The Scholarship for Polytechnic Students aims to encourage and motivate the polytechnic students of government colleges to pursue their courses with full dedication and interest without any worry of paying college fees. Students just need to focus on their studies. Students will be awarded this scholarship depending on their academic standing or the grades they received on their last exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship for Polytechnic Students

The following qualifying requirements must be met by candidates in order to register online for Scholarship for Polytechnic Students: –

Post Matric Scholarship	The student must be an OBC member and be enrolled in polytechnic or diploma programmes, with a minimum annual income of Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities	The student must be a member of a minority group, have received 50% on their last exam, and earn Rs. 2 lakh a year.
Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region	The student must be enrolled in or enrolled in diploma-level coursework and must live or reside in the NER of India with a yearly income of Rs. 4.5 Lakhs.
Pragati Scholarship For Girl Students	The candidate must be a girl, enrolled in her first year of a diploma programme, and have an annual income of at least Rs. 8 lakhs.
Merit Cum Means Scholarships For Professional and Technical Courses	The applicant must have at least 50% in the exam from the prior year and be enrolled in a technical or professional level course at the polytechnic college.
Saksham Scholarship For Disabled Students	This scholarship will only be given to PWD students who have been accepted for a first-year degree or diploma study in the technical stream and have a 40% disability grade. The student’s annual income cap must be Rs. 8 lakh

Academic Progress Is Required for Registration

The selection of qualified beneficiaries for the creation of the Beneficiary List will be based largely on the academic performance of the students. Academic performance, including last year’s exam results and attendance history, will be taken into consideration when evaluating students. Students must have received between 50% and 60% of the possible points in their last year’s exams, as well as a 75% attendance rate.

Selection Process Under Government Scholarship for Diploma Students

The selection of the students will be based on the following details:

NSP Scholarship	The candidates will be chosen in accordance with their financial situation.
NEC Scholarship	According to the scheme’s principles and after adhering to the NSP’s established method, the merit lists will be selected from among applications that have been thoroughly vetted.The scholarships will be awarded to chosen students directly by NEC into their given and verified bank accounts via DBT mode in accordance with the rules currently in effect.
State Engineering & Technology Merit Scholarship	The criteria used to pick the candidates will be those established by the state government.
Post Matric Scholarship	Based on their financial situation and compliance with the eligibility requirements, the applicant will be chosen.
Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities	There must be a preference for selection because there are only a predetermined number of scholarships for minorities available each year. Poverty should be given more weight during inter-selection than grades. Where there is an equal income, the applicant’s “Date of Birth” requirement will determine merit.
Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region	Every year, ten thousand (10,000) new scholarships will be given out.The population census will be used as the basis for allocating slots among the NER states (last).If there aren’t enough qualified candidates to fill all the open positions in a state, the open positions will be allocated fairly among the other states.
Pragati Scholarship  For Girl Students	The candidates will be chosen using a merit list that has been developed based on the results of the qualifying exam.
Merit Cum Means Scholarships For Professional and Technical Courses	According to Census 2001 (2017–18) & 2011, the number of scholarships must be determined by State/UT, taking into account the minority population of those States/UTs as a whole (2018-20). The applications from the Listed Institutions will be used up first in the merit list within the State-wise Allocations. If there are more of these pupils than the State/Community-based quota, the regular merit list criteria will be applied. Following that, other verification applicants/students will be chosen from the merit list based on the percentage/marks of their most recent academic course or board (higher secondary / graduation) exam.
Saksham Scholarship For Disabled Students	From among these applicants, the individuals who will pursue technical education will be chosen on the basis of merit at the qualifying examination. The other requirement is that candidates must have been accepted through the State/Central Government’s centralised admission process into the first year of a degree or diploma programme at any of the AICTE-approved institutions during the academic year 2014–15.
