Importance Of Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology Fellowship
The Rajiv Gandhi Centre For Biotechnology is inviting applications for suitable candidates for one position for a junior research fellow in an ICMR-funded research project called Nobel derivative of tacrine, cholinesterase inhibitor, with added pharmacological actions-A preclinical experimental study in the laboratory of doctor Moinak Banerjee who is a neurobiologist at Rajiv Gandhi Central for biotechnology Trivandrum. All those candidates who have qualified for UGC NET along with JRF will be able to apply under the scheme.
- Initially, the period of fellowship is for 6 months and further extension will be provided based on the performance of the candidate. All the candidates who are interested in applying under the scheme are required to submit their applications before 10th August 2023

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre For Biotechnology location in Trivandrum, Kerala. This centre is basically a research institution which is devoted exclusively to the research of molecular biology and biotechnology. This centre is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology of the Government of India. This centre was inaugurated on 18th November 2022 by the President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

Eligibility Criteria Of Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology Fellowship
- The candidate should have a master’s degree in any branch of Life science
- Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in MSC
- Qualification in National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ or National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions viz., DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JBEEBILS)/ ICMR Entrance Exam/ Approved DST Inspire Fellowship etc is desirable.
- Experience in working with molecular biology, cell culture and animal models is desirable
