The LIC has taken an initiative for economically weak students to offer them financial assistance. The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2024 will be introduced for higher education in which students will get a scholarship amount until the completion of their pursuing courses in installments. The scholarship amount will depend on the courses in which the candidate is enrolled. The selection of students will be done based on the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and academic records required. 

All the candidates must submit their application form before the deadline after which they are not able to avail the benefits of this scholarship. • To financially help such talented minds of India the LIC has implemented this LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship which covers their educational expenses for 3 years OR until they complete their courses. The selected candidates will get a scholarship amount per annum in their bank account via direct bank transfer method.

LIC General Scholarship

Under the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship, students who belong to the economically weaker section will get a scholarship amount that covers their educational expenses. The candidates who are in Integrated Courses, Diploma Courses in any field, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes, or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The scholarship amount will be given to the selected students for the duration of completion of their courses. The last date for the registration of the LIC General Scholarship will be on 14th January 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students should be permanent residents of India.
• Candidates should pass the 10th or 12th examination with at least 60% marks or those who are in diploma courses will also need to score 60% marks.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
• The scholarship will be given to those students who are in the following courses:
  • Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline,
  • Integrated Courses,
• Students from Diploma Courses in any field or other equivalent courses or in Vocational Courses in Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

Special Scholarship for Girl Child

This Special Scholarship is introduced for Girl children who belong to the economically weak section. The scholarship will be given for 2 years only for completing higher education. This scholarship amount will be given to the candidates who are undergraduate courses not for post-graduation.  The candidates who are in Integrated Courses, Diploma Courses in any field, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes, or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The scholarship amount will be given to the selected students for the duration of completion of their courses. The last date for the registration of the LIC General Scholarship will be on 14th January 2024
