SLIIT Scholarship Programme for Countries in South Asia 2024 Apply Online

Many scholarship schemes are introduced for the education of deserving or talented students. This time Sri Lanka has taken the initiative of introducing the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology Scholarship Program for the countries which are situated in South Asia.  Under this SLIIT scholarship program, students from India can also apply as they will also get the opportunity to pursue in Sri Lankan Universities.

SLIIT Scholarship Programme for Countries in South Asia

The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology Scholarship Program has been started by the Sri Lanka Government for the South Asia Countries including India. In this scholarship scheme, the students who are in 3-year or 4-year courses will be getting a scholarship amount until the completion of their pursuing courses. The scholarship amount will cover the educational expenses which include the tuition fees or book expenses.

• There will be no other benefits included under the scholarship amount like: Travelling, Visa, Passport, Food, etc. The selection of students will be done by the SLIIT only, there will be no involvement of the Government of India. A four-year scholarship from SLIIT will be worth between $10,000 and $25,000 in US dollars for degree programs in computer technology, engineering, business administration, humanities, and sciences.

The objective of SLIIT Scholarship Program

The main aim of the SLIIT Scholarship Programme is to motivate or encourage Students to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the financially privileged students. With the rising amount of college fees, many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop in their education. Through this SLIIT Scholarship Program Students will easily pay their fees. The selected students will receive a Scholarship amount for the duration of their pursuing course.

• Many students are very motivated towards their studies but the high rising amount of school fees cannot be affordable by economically disadvantaged students. This will encourage many talented students to fulfill their passion and make their families or India proud.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should pass in three subjects at a time in one sitting in GCE Advanced Level Examination or take admission in 1st year of Undergraduation in their home country under the recognized university or institute.
• There will be an official nomination by the home country.
• Candidates for SLIIT Scholarships must be nominees from countries in South Asia.
• Candidates must score good marks in their academics.
• The scholarship will continue until the balance of the CGPA score attained by the candidates is decided by the SLIIT.
