Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship 2024: Apply Online, Check Eligibility and Last Date

A new scholarship scheme has been introduced for the Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backwards Class students of Sikkim who are currently enrolled in class 11th, 12th, or higher education level. Through the implementation of the Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship 2024, meritorious and needy students will get financial help to cover their educational expenses. Students who got selected under the Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship 2024 will need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for registration.

The registration process will end on 29th February 2024. So, students must fill out their application form in online form via visiting the official website. All the information related to the Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship 2024 will be available in their post.

About Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship

The Post Matric Scholarship is introduced by the SC/ST and MBC Welfare Department, Government of Odisha for the SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/EWS students to financially support them. The SC/ST students will get a scholarship amount of up to Rs.7000 for day scholars and Rs.13000 for hostellers. The OBC/SEBC/EWS students will get Rs.240 for day scholars and Rs.200 per year for hostellers; this scholarship amount will depend on the students who are hostellers or day scholars. The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of the candidates via the DBT method.

• The annual family income of candidates from the SC/ST/OBC community should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. The best part of this Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship is that there are no Application fees for its submission. The selection of students will be done based on their eligibility criteria and academic records.

The objective of the Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship

The main aim of the Sikkim Post Matric Scholarship is to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the financially privileged students. With the rising amount of college fees, many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop in their education. Through this Sikkim Post, Matric Scholarship will easily pay their fees. The selected students will receive a Scholarship amount for the duration of their pursuing course.

• Many students are very motivated towards their studies but the high rising amount of school fees cannot be affordable by economically disadvantaged students. This will encourage many talented students to fulfill their passion and make their families or India proud.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Sikkim.
• The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC, EWS Community of state. .
• The candidate must enroll in class 11th, 12th, Undergraduate, or Postgraduate level.
• The annual family income of candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS communities should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
• Applicants should not be involved in any other scholarship program.
