Odisha Scholarship 2024: Complete List with Eligibility and Reward Details

A new scholarship scheme has been introduced for the Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backwards Class students of Odisha who are currently enrolled in Pre Matric or Post Matric courses. Through the implementation of the Odisha Scholarship 2024, meritorious and needy students will get financial help to cover their educational expenses. Students who get selected under the Odisha Scholarship 2024 will need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for registration. The registration process will start on 18th August 2023 and it will end on 5th March 2024. So, students must fill out their application form online form via visiting the official website. About Odisha Scholarship

The Odisha Scholarship is introduced by the SC/ST and MBC Welfare Department, Government of Odisha for the SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/EWS students to financially support them. The SC/ST students will get a scholarship amount up to Rs. 550 for day scholars and Rs.1200 for hostellers. The OBC/SEBC/EWS students will get Rs.350 for day scholars and Rs.750 per year for hostellers; this scholarship amount will depend on the students who are hostellers or day scholars.

• The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of the candidates via the DBT method. The annual family income of candidates from SC/ST/OBC community should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. The best part of this Odisha Scholarship is that there are no Application fees for its submission. The selection of students will be done based on their eligibility criteria and academic records.

What is Pre Matric Odisha Scholarship?

Pre matric scholarship is introduced for the students who are enrolled in class 9th to 10th level.  Here the words Pre Means Before and Matric Means 10th, those students who complete their 8th are eligible for applying under various Pre Matric Scholarships to avail of multiple scholarship benefits to complete their studies. Because mostly education of Pre Matric level is very expensive and not all poor students can afford it. So, such Pre Matric Scholarships will help thousands of meritorious students, it will fill the educational gap.

What is Post Matric Odisha Scholarship

Post matric scholarship and introduced for the students who are enrolled in class 11th, 12th, Graduation, and Post graduation level.  Here the words Post Means After and Matric Means 10th, aa those students who complete their 10th students are eligible for applying under various Post Matric Scholarships to avail of multiple scholarship benefits to complete their studies. Because mostly the education of Post Matric level is very expensive and not all poor students can afford it. So, such Post Matric Scholarships will help thousands of meritorious students, it will fill the educational gap.

The objective of Odisha Scholarship

The main aim of Odisha Scholarship is to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the students who are financially privileged. With the rising amount of college fees many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop from their education. Through this Odisha Scholarship will easily pay their fees. The selected students will receive Scholarship amount for the duration of their pursuing course. Many students who are very motivated towards their studies but the high rising amount of school fees cannot be affordable by economically disadvantaged students.
