Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2024 Apply Online

To provide the opportunity of getting proper education for every Scheduled Caste individual, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has introduced the Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2024. Through the implementation of this Assam Post Matric Scholarship, all the students who are currently enrolled in class 11th,12th, Graduation, and Post graduation level will be eligible to get financial assistance to fulfill their educational requirements. Students who got selected under the Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2024 will get Tuition Fees, Exam Fees Maintenance Allowance, etc.

Overview of Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

The Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students is implemented for the students who are currently enrolled in class 11th,12th, Graduation, and Post-graduation level to offer them financial assistance to fulfill their educational requirements. Students whose family income is less than Rs. 2.50.000/- per annum are not eligible for the Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students. Scholarship amount will be given to selected candidates so they can cover their hostel fees, travel accommodation or other educational purposes.

• The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of candidates via direct bank transfer method.  It will create transparency among the department and students for the scholarship amount and other allowances. The last date for registration under the scholarship will be on 10th February 2024. So, students must fill in the form before the deadline.

What is a Post-Matric Scholarship?

Post matric scholarship and introduced for the students who are enrolled in class 11th, 12th, Graduation, and Post graduation level.  Here the words Post Means After and Matric Means 10th, aa those students who complete their 10th students are eligible for applying under various Post Matric Scholarships to avail of multiple scholarship benefits to complete their studies. Because mostly the education of Post Matric level is very expensive and not all poor students can afford it. So, such Post Matric Scholarships will help thousands of meritorious students, it will fill the educational gap.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be a permanent resident of Assam state.
• Students must be studying in class 11th, 12th, Graduation and Post-graduation levels under the Assam-recognized colleges or institutes.
• The annual family income of the Candidate should not be more than 2.5 lakh.
• Students should pass 10th standard from Assam-recognised School.
• Students should not take scholarships from any other sources.
• Students must belong to the Scheduled Caste Category of Assam.
• Students who have received financial support from the government for coaching at any of the pre-examination training institutes will not be eligible.

Important Dates

• The Last date for registration under the Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC will be on 20th January 2023.

• A passport-size photo
• Caste certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar
• A copy of the application form

Benefits of Assam Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

• The students who apply under the Assam Post Matric Scholarship will be able to get financial assistance to cover their educational expenses.
• The students will get a maintenance allowance of up to Rs. 1,200 per month.
• Students will also get study tour charges up to Rs. 1,600 per month.
• Students who are in Phd will get thesis charges of Rs. 1,600.
• There will be other assistance given to Dayscholars which is Rs. 3,500 per annum and for hostellers, it will be Rs. 7,000 per annum.

• A new page will open on your screen, read all the instructions and click on the Continue button.
• Now the registration page will appear on your screen. If in all the necessary details such as:
