The NMMS Odisha Scholarship 2024 has been introduced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Department of School Education and Literacy. The National Merit cum Means Scholarship is a great financial support for those students who are not financially strong but have faith to be educated people to fulfill all their dreams and desires. NMMS Scholarship will offer Rs. 12,000 to the students who pass class 7th from any government or government-aided school except students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, non-government schools, and residential schools are not eligible.
Under NMMS scholarship students will be able to continue their studies because they will get financial assistance from the 8th class to the 12th class. To be eligible for the scholarship it is necessary to score at least 55% marks in the 7th standard. A total of 3,314 scholarships are being provided by the Odisha NMMS to Class 8 students enrolled in state-run or -aided institutions.
What is the Odisha NMMS Exam?
Odisha National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Exam is conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Odisha for the students of the state from class 8th to 12th standard. The Odisha NMMS will announce their exam date which will be held on the 5th of November 2023. So, students must prepare for the NMMS Odisha exam and the syllabus for the examination will be provided under this post. Students who want to appear under the NMMS Exam must fill out their registration form before the deadline for registration.
- The NMMS Exam will contain 2 papers. The first will be a mental ability test with 90 90-minute time duration. Other will be Scholastic Aptitude Tests including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. Students must score top marks to be selected and avail of the benefit of the NMMS Odisha Scholarship.

Selection Process

Eligibility Criteria for the Odisha NMMS Exam
- Students must be permanent residents of Odisha.
- Students who must pass class 7th and are now in 8th standard will be eligible for the scholarship.
- Students must score a minimum of 55% marks in 7th standard to be eligible for Odisha NMMS Scholarship 2023 ( Relaxable by 5% for reserved category).
- Students from government or government-aided schools expect students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, non-government schools, and residential schools to be eligible.
- The annual income should not be more than RS. 1.5 lakh per annum.
