From 2021 to 23 the rate of SC/ST students studying abroad has increased to 425, and the reason behind this is Unnathi Scholarship. All the responsibility of the students related to their course, university, living, visa, air ticket, fees payment everything will be managed by the Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC).
ODEPC is a government recruitment agency which is registered under the Ministry of External Affairs. Under the “Unnathi” Kerala Overseas Scholarship for SC/ ST Students, 2024 the amount of college fees will be given by the department itself, and the assistance for living will be transferred into the foreign bank account of the candidate.

To provide students with all the possible facilities the department has created Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC).
- This ODEPC is going to provide all the convenience to the candidate whether it is to their visa, choosing a course, college, arranging air ticket, or transport service from the airport to their destination.
- The selected candidates do not need to manage their educational or living expenses, as all these will be done by the department on their own. Students will be able to fulfill their dream of education abroad.

- 25 SC students will get Rs. 20 lakh for their education with an annual income of 20 lakhs.
- 25 SC Students with an annual income above 20 lakh will receive Rs. 15 lakh.
