- Should be the first-year student of:
- Plus Two/UG/PG/Ph.D. course at a higher secondary school, college, institute, or university that is either a government-sponsored, -aided, or -recognized unaided institution.
- ITI/ITC Centers connected with NCVT’s 11th Class, Technical, or Vocational Program.
- A course that is not on the list of options for the merit-plus-means scholarship programme.
- Should be a member of a minority group, such as a Parsi, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, or Zoroastrian.
- Must have received at least 50% in the prior board or university exam, or an equivalent grade.
