Importance of Tamil Nadu Scholarship

Students from low-income families now have increased access to higher education thanks to the Tamil Nadu Scholarship. The scholarship is being implemented by the Government of Tamil Nadu and its subsidiary department to encourage and support students from low-income households to continue their education and make their lives better. This Tamil Nadu Scholarship will offer 13 types of different scholarships. Students don’t need to get stressed about paying their educational fees, as they will get benefits through the Tamil Nadu scholarship. With the help of this credential, children from low-income households will have easier access to affordable education.

The objective of Tamil Nadu Scholarship

The aim of introducing the Tamil Nadu Scholarship is to offer education to all the students of the state who belong to the PWD, MBC, BC, and DNC categories.  This scholarship aims to encourage higher education among students who belong to less educated families. These students will benefit from this scholarship by receiving a high-quality education, and financial assistance which will help them in achieving their goals. Because not everyone is able to continue higher education after 12th due to its high expenses. With the implementation of this scholarship students will be able to fulfill their dream and reduce their financial crises. This scholarship will also help in reducing the literacy rate of our country.

What is Pre matric Scholarship

The Pre Matric Scholarship is implemented by the central government and state government for the students who enrolled in classes 1st to 10th standard. This pre-matric scholarship is started to motivate the school education among the students who belong to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, General, and Minority groups of the country. As school education is the base of study which will make students aware of their rights and the importance of education.

What is Post Matric Scholarship

The post-matric scholarship is introduced for the students who passed their 10th board and are now enrolled in class 11th. This scholarship will cover students from class 11th to Postdoctoral degrees. This is a broad spectrum of scholarships that include graduation, diploma, and master’s. PhD degrees. The students who want to enroll in a higher degree program but due to financial conditions don’t do so, will apply for such scholarships. The students who belong to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, General, and Minority groups of the country will be able to apply.

Scholarship to Son and Daughter of Differently Abled Persons, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The students who are physically disabled and enrolled under any program from class 11th to Post-graduation in the ITI\Polytechnic diploma course will be able to apply for this.
• Candidates must hold an identity card which is issued by the Welfare Department of Differently Abled.

Scholarship for Differently Abled Students from Class 9th Onwards, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The students who are physically disabled and enrolled in any program from class 9th to graduation including Vocational, Professional, Medical, and Engineering courses can apply for scholarships.
• Candidates must achieve a maximum of 40% marks in their previous qualifying exam.

Scholarship for Differently Abled Students towards Purchase of Books & Note Books, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must enrol under 1st to 8th standard and should be physically disabled.

R. I. M. C. Dehradun Scholarship, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who enrolled under Rashtriya Indian Military School Dehradun will be able to apply for scholarships.

Deceased Government Servants Scholarship, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The children of deceased employees who died during work will be able to apply for scholarships.

PhD Scholarship, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The students who are in the first year, second year or third year of their PhD program will be able to apply for the scholarship. Students must be in a government or government-aided college in arts or science courses.
• Students must score at least 60% marks in their Ph.D. program. 

EVR Nagammai Scholarship, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The scholarship applies to the girl students of Tamil Nadu who are pursuing post-graduation from the government college in science and arts.

Free Education Schemes for BC, MBC & DNC students, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who are under a 3-year degree, diploma, or polytechnic course can enroll under the scholarship.
• The student’s family income will not be more than Rs. 50,000/-

Incentive Scheme for Rural MBC/DNC Girl Students, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The scholarship is not for rural area girl students who are from 3rd to 6th standard and belong to MBC, DNC category.
• Student’s family income will not be more than Rs. 25,000\-

Thanthai Periyar Memorial Award, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The top 2 boys and 2 girls students of every district of Tamil Nadu who score the highest marks in their 10th and pursuing a polytechnic degree will be able to apply for scholarships.
• The students must belong to the BC\MBC\DNC category.

Perarignar Anna Memorial Award, Tamil Nadu

Eligibility Criteria

• The top 2 boys and 2 girls students of every district of Tamil Nadu who score the highest marks in their 12th and pursuing professional degree courses will be able to apply for scholarships.
• The students must belong to the BC\MBC\DNC category.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Program

Eligibility Criteria

• The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/-
• Students must belong to the Economically Weaker Section of society.
• Students must score 90% marks or equivalent marks in their class 10th or SSLC.

National Talent Search Exam NTSE

Eligibility Criteria:

• Students from class 10th standard will be eligible for the scholarship.
