SVMCM Scholarship has been introduced for deserving students of West Bengal from higher education to offer them financial assistance until the completion of their pursuing course. Now the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal has announced the implementation of SVMCM Utilization Certificate 2024. This Utilization certificate will only be used by the students who already enrolled for the SVMCM Scholarship. This SVMCM Utilization Certificate is a document used at the time of filing of Renewal Application form.
All the candidates must upload this utilization form in their application in PDF format. The Utilization Form will be downloaded at the time of application filling. Students can download it and print it out. There will be a sign of the head of their educational institute and students themselves will sign on the certificate and date of the submission day. After this upload the utilization certificate to complete the process.

The Bikas Bawan has introduced a new document under the Renewal process of the SVMCM Scholarship. The Utilization Certificate will ensure the honesty of students towards the scholarship amount. Many students applied under the SVMCM Scholarship by enrolling in various courses. So, this Utilization Certificate will be proof by their educational institute that this particular student will be taking the SVMCM Scholarship only once and the amount will only be utilized for educational purposes.
- In case any students applied for the renewal application and completed the process without the utilization certificate then they don’t need to submit it. It will be compulsory for those under whose application submission the utilization certificate filling column appears. It will create transparency among the students and the department.
About Swami Vivekananda Scholarship
The Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal for deserving and meritorious students who are enrolled in higher educational courses in the Government or Government colleges. This Swami Vivekananda Scholarship will cover students from Class 9th to 12th standard, and students who are in Undergraduate, Postgraduate or Phd, M.Phil level courses. All the students will get the scholarship amount until the completion of their pursuing course.
- The amount of assistance will depend on the course the candidate enrolls in. Candidates must belong to the Economically WEaker SEction of the State with an annual family income of less than Rs.2,50,000. Candidates cannot be involved in any other scholarship programme from where they get assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- The students should enroll in Class 9th to 12th standard and students who are in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Ph.D., M.Phil level courses.
- Candidates must belong to the Economically Weaker Section of the State with an annual family income of less than Rs.2,50,000. Candidates cannot be involved in any other scholarship programme from where they get assistance.
- Students must score the minimum marks required for eligibility.
