Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship 2024: Apply Online, Check Eligibility and Last Date

A new scholarship scheme has been introduced for the students of Sikkim who are currently enrolled in class 9th or 10th standard. Through the implementation of the Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship 2024, meritorious and needy students will get financial help to cover their educational expenses. Students who got selected under the Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship 2024 will need to fulfil all the eligibility criteria required for registration to get financial help. The registration process will end on 29th February 2024. So, students must fill out their application form online form via visiting the official website. Overview of Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship

The Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship is introduced by the Government of Sikkim for students who are in pre-matric classes to financially support them. The students will get a scholarship amount up to Rs.150 for day scholars and Rs.350 for hostellers. This scholarship amount will depend on the students who are hostellers or day scholars. The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of the candidates via the DBT method. The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. The best part of this Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship is that there are no Application fees for its submission. The selection of students will be done based on their eligibility criteria and academic records.

Objective of Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship

The main aim of the Sikkim Pre Matric Scholarship is to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the financially privileged students. With the rising amount of college fees, many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop in their education. Through this Sikkim, Pre Matric Scholarship will easily pay their fees. The selected students will receive a Scholarship amount for the duration of their pursuing course.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a permanent resident of Sikkim.
• The applicant should enrol in pre-matric classes i.e. 9th or 10th standard in the government of Sikkim recognised board of education.
• The candidate must belong to the ST Community.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a permanent resident of Sikkim.
• The applicant should enrol in pre-matric classes i.e. 9th or 10th standard in the government of Sikkim recognised board of education.
• The candidate must belong to the SC Community.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Children of Parents Unclean Occupation

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a permanent resident of Sikkim.
• The applicant should enrol in pre-matric classes i.e. 9th or 10th standard in the government of Sikkim recognised board of education.
• The childrens whose parents were involved in the cleaning occupation.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
