About PRERANA Scholarship

The Government of Odisha has launched the PRERANA Scholarship scheme. It is a post-matric scheme. Through this scheme students belonging to backward classes like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes, economically backward classes, etc will be able to get benefits. Beneficiaries will be able to get scholarships up to Rs 1200 through this scheme. With the implementation of this scheme, the students will become self-dependent. Other than that now students will not be required to depend on anyone to finance their education. All those students who are interested in benefiting from this scheme are required to apply online.

Objective Of PRERANA Scholarship

• The main objective of PRERANA Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those students who want to pursue higher education
• Through this scheme, the government is going to provide scholarships so that students can pursue their education without any financial hurdle
• Now students are not required to depend on anyone to finance their education
• The government of Odisha is going to provide them with scholarships through this scheme
• With the implementation of this scheme, the literacy ratio will be increased

Eligibility Criteria Of PRERANA Scholarship

Scholarship Name	Eligibility Conditions
Post-matric Scholarship for SC	The annual family income of the candidate must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha. The applicant must be studying post-matriculation studies in any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. The student must be pursuing studies in a government or government-recognized private institution.
Post-matric Scholarship for ST	The annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant must be continuing his/her higher studies from a government institution only. The candidate must be pursuing any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. This scholarship scheme is only applicable for the EBC of the General category.
Post-matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBC	The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than INR 1 Lakh. The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous exam. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha. The applicant must be continuing his/her post-matriculation studies in any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. The applicant must be studying in a government or private institution.
Post-matric Scholarship for EBC	The annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant must be continuing his/her higher studies from a government institution only. The candidate must be pursuing any of the courses mentioned under Group I, II, III & IV. This scholarship scheme is only applicable for the EBC of General category.
