Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya 2024: Apply Online before Last Date

A new scholarship scheme has been introduced for the Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backwards Class students of Meghalaya who are currently enrolled in class 11th, 12th, or higher education level. Through the implementation of the Meghalaya Post Matric Scholarship 2024, meritorious and needy students will get financial help to cover their educational expenses.

Students who got selected under the Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya 2024 will need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for registration. The registration process will end on 9th February 2024. So, students must fill out their application form online form via visiting the official website. Overview of Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya

The Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya is introduced by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for the SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/EWS students to financially support them. The SC/ST students will get a scholarship amount of up to Rs.7000 for day scholars and Rs.13000 for hostellers. The OBC/SEBC/EWS students will get Rs.240 for day scholars and Rs.200 per year for hostellers; this scholarship amount will depend on the students who are hostellers or day scholars.

• The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of the candidates via the DBT method. The annual family income of candidates from the SC/ST/OBC community should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. The best part of this Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya is that there are no Application fees for its submission. The selection of students will be done based on their eligibility criteria and academic records.

The objective of Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya

The main aim of Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya is to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the financially privileged students. With the rising amount of college fees, many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop in their education. Through this Post Matric Scholarship Meghalaya will easily pay their fees. The selected students will receive a Scholarship amount for the duration of their pursuing course.

What is a Post-Matric Scholarship?

Post matric scholarship and introduced for the students who are enrolled in class 11th, 12th, Graduation, and Post graduation level. Here the words Post Means After and Matric Means 10th, aa those students who complete their 10th students are eligible for applying under various Post Matric Scholarships to avail multiple scholarship benefits to complete their studies. Because mostly the education of Post Matric level is very expensive and not all poor students can afford it. So, such Post Matric Scholarships will help thousands of meritorious students, it will fill the educational gap.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Meghalaya.
• The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC, EWS Community of state.
• The candidate must enroll in class 11th, 12th, Undergraduate, or Postgraduate level.
• The annual family income of candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and EWS communities should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
• Applicants should not be involved in any other scholarship program.
