The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has taken the initiative of introducing the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Scholarship for the deserving and meritorious students of Maharashtra who belong to a financially weaker family background to offer them financial educational support to cover their educational expenses. To date, the department has awarded approximately 41 crores in scholarships through various programs.

Scholarships to children of widowed and divorced women

The scholarship to children of widowed and divorced women is introduced for the children whose mothers are either divorced or widowed. Through this scholarship scheme, students will be able to complete their educational expenses without getting worried about the arrangement of money to pay their school or college fees.  The scholarship amount for such students will be transferred directly into their bank account via the direct bank transfer method. So, you don’t need to be worried about the arrangement of money.  It will encourage and motivate such students whose mothers are not able to earn their education.

Scholarship for meritorious backward class students for education from class 1st to college

Scholarship for meritorious class students for education from class 1st to college is introduced to offer a scholarship amount to those students who will belong to the backward community and because of this they remain left over from multiple advantages which they deserve to get in their education area. Many students are very intelligent but as they belong to a backward class they remain unopportunistic and don’t get the chance as they can deserve.  Sometimes financial assistance is also the biggest reason behind their illiteracy.  So this scholarship will support such students to get a proper education and fulfill their dreams.

Scholarships to children studying from class 1st to college from families of local project victims in Navi Mumbai areas

This scholarship will be given to the students or children whose parents or families will be affected because of the projects occurring in the Navi Mumbai areas.  the children will get financial assistance from the first standard to the completion of their college courses. It is a broad spectrum in which all the classes and all the courses will be included and get financial assistance until the completion of their education.  It will support and help students as they will be affected because of the Navi Mumbai construction. Scholarship for children of cleaners and contract workers

Scholarship is introduced for the children whose parents are cleaners or contract workers.  The selected students will be getting a scholarship amount to cover their education expenses. As this scholarship will be transferred into their bank account via direct bank transfer method.  It will leave the burden of their parents who are unable to arrange the education fees for the children.

Scholarship to children of stone quarry/construction/stand/pipe workers

The government started this scholarship program to give construction, stand, or pipe workers scholarships. The government will pay for the beneficiary child’s whole education under this scholarship program. so that their financial situation wouldn’t have an impact on the children’s academic performance.
