The CM of Jharkhand has announced the implementation of the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship in tribute of tribal icon Jaipal Singh Munda. The Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024 will provide complete financial support for the education of students who belong to SC/ST/OBC and Minority communities.
Students will get a chance to pursue a Master’s of M.Phil from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024 will cover educational expenses like tuition fees, living costs, and journey expenses, for 10 tribal students for 1 year of Masters and 2 years of M.Phil program.
Importance of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024
The Government of Jharkhand introduced the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024 to encourage and motivate students from tribal or lower communities to make their own identity and fill the gap between inequitable access to quality higher education. Many multitalented and meritorious students cannot avail the benefit of studying in international universities to make their families and country proud. Students do not get proper facilities or financial assistance to complete their education. Through this Scholarship 2023-24 top 10 selected students will get financial or other benefits for supporting their education. This scholarship is a tribute to Jaipal Singh Munda who fought for placing a position for tribal or backward communities.

Selection of students will be done for the 3rd batch of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024
Under the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024 There will be a selection of students for the next batch in which 10 students from the ST community, 5 from SC, 7 from OBC, and 3 students from the Minority community will be chosen to enroll in 31 courses at UK and Irish universities. There will be a total of 25 deserving individuals who get scholarships through the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024 to pursue further education in the UK and Northern Ireland. The main benefit of this programme, which began in 2021, is that in addition to covering the cost of tuition, the state government will also cover the students’ living and food expenditures.

The main aim of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2024 is to give the upcoming generation of leaders, decision-makers and opinion-formers the information and abilities to effect change and contribute to the country’s economic and social development. Eligibility Criteria
- Students who belong to Jharkhand will be eligible for the scholarship.
- Students must belong to the SC/ST/OBC/Minority community.
- Candidates should score at least 55% in their previous course.
- Students should be involved in Master’s or M.Phil courses, with age not more than 40 years.
- The annual family income of the candidate should be equal to or less than Rs. 1200000.
- If students belong to the family of Government employed of state ministers, then they cannot apply for the scholarship.

Selection Process
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the following criteria:
- The preference will be given to the candidates who receive offer letters for admission in Masters or M.Phil from universities of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
- Candidates who score good marks in the IELTS/GRE/TOEFL exam will also get a preference for selection.
- If no one from the candidate’s family is involved in Government jobs or from the state minister’s family, then they cannot apply for the scholarship.
