Fulbright Nehru Master’s Scholarship

The Fulbright Nehru Master’s Scholarship is introduced for Indian students to pursue Masters from selected US universities or colleges. The students who have leadership qualities can apply. Students will get J-1 visa support, a monthly stipend, and Travel expenses for a round trip from their home country to the U.S. The students will get scholarship expenses under the Fulbright Nehru Master’s Scholarship for 1 to 2 years. Candidates need to submit their application form before the last date of registration which will be on 17th May 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates need to acquire a Bachelor’s degree from an Indian institute which should be equivalent to the U.S. bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks.
• In case a candidate has a degree less than 4 years then they should show a master’s degree or postgraduate diploma degree.
• Students must have a 3-year work experience in the field of their study.
• The candidate should not hold any degree from a U.S. university or a U.S. degree program.

Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Scholarship

The Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Scholarship is introduced for the PhD students to get a scholarship opportunity at Indian institutes. The students will get a scholarship amount for the duration of 6 to 9 months. The students will get a fellowship for J-1 visa support, a monthly stipend, an Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges per U.S. Government guidelines, round-trip economy class air travel, applicable allowances, and modest affiliation fees.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must enroll in a Ph.D. course in an Indian-recognized institute.
• The candidate must do proper research in their research field which is essential for the dissertation/thesis.
• At the time of application, the applicant must not be a resident of the United States.
• The Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Fellowship Scholarship deadline should be at least three months after the thesis submission date.

Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence

The Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence is a scholarship opportunity for Indian researchers, scholars, and teachers to conduct teaching, research, or combination in U.S institutes. The selected candidates will get an opportunity to conduct seminars, and workshops in the U.S. Institution that is hosting for the fellowship. This fellowship program will be introduced for 4 to 9 months. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend. The selected Indian scholars will be selected based on the application form and personal interview session.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a permanent resident of India.
• Candidates must have a PhD degree with at least 5 years of work experience in the field of research, teaching, and professional.
• If any of the fellows are engaged in other work-related activities, they have to stick carefully to the instructions given to them. The application must be submitted by the employer with a note indicating the fellowship leave.
• Employers must provide the appropriate administrative authority with a letter of support from their home institution.

Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Scholarship

The Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Scholarship is introduced for Indian students who are doing research in Indian institutes as their career option. Under the Postdoctoral fellowship program the early researchers get a chance to strengthen their research capacities. The fellowship programme will be conducted for a duration of eight to 24 months. This Fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral Fellowship will offer applicants several benefits such as:  J-1 Visa, health insurance, and pre-departure orientation. The postdoctoral fellows get a chance to use the best resources for doing research in their area of interest which ultimately establishes a great bond between the fellow and the U.S. institution.

Eligibility Criteria

• The fellow who wants to apply for the  Fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral Fellowship must have a degree of Ph.D. and M.D. within 4 years. This means you must get a degree from the year 17th of July 2019 and 16th of July 2023.
• Applicants need to submit their PhD and M.D. certificate\Degree on their application form in online mode.
• Applicants must publish their research work in the Journal and must provide evidence of academic and professional achievements.
• You also need to upload your recent research work on your application form with not more than 30 words in online mode.
