The Government of Assam has introduced a very new scholarship scheme for PG Research scholars called Assam PG Research Scholarship 2024, This scholarship will be given to select PG Research students of Assam to support their education. The scholarship amount will be given every month until the completion of their pursuing course. The PG Research Scholars who are applying under the Assam PG Research Scholarship 2024, need to submit a bond for the clarification of completing all the research work without disturbing any terms and conditions.

The Assam PG Research Scholarship is a great initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Assam to financially support the PG Research SCholars of Assam. Many students are very talented but because of financial crises cannot afford their expenses. Through the implementation of the Assam PG Research Scholarship, the PhD students will get Rs. 1000 per month for their research work. The M.Phil students will get Rs. 700 per month and PG LLM students will get Rs. 500 per month. Students need to fill in their Assam PG Research Scholarship application form from 21st November 2023 to 15th December 2023.
- A copy of the application form with all the required documents should be submitted to the Registrar, Principal, or Head of the Department. After the verification of the application form by the Institute, it will be transferred to the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Assam.

The objective of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Assam is to create a scholarship scheme for the PG Research Scholars of Assam to support them financially to complete their Research expenses. Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Students should enroll in PhD, M.Phil, PG LLM courses in Assam recognised Institute or University.
- Students must score at least 55% marks in their previous examination.
- Applicants should have their own bank account, especially in SBI.
