Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andaman and Nicobar Island.
• The applicant must belong to the scheduled tribe category.

All the students who belong to the general category are eligible to apply for this scheme. The selected candidates for the scholarship will get financial assistance of INR 10,000 from the authorities. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account. Grant Of Additional Scholarship to OBC Students For Pursuing Higher Studies After Class X Is launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman and Nicobar Administration. This scholarship will help the students who have passed their class 10th and 12th so that they can continue their education without worrying about financial problems. All the students who want to continue their education and pursue higher education can avail the benefits of this scheme. Only the students who belong to the OBC category are eligible to apply for this scheme. Under this scholarship, the selected candidates will get INR 1000 for a total of 10 months.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andaman and Nicobar Island.
• The applicant must belong to the OBC category.
• The applicant must have passed their class 10th and 12th examinations from a recognized board of the school on the island.
• The applicant must be a full-time student pursuing higher studies in any recognized institution by the government, approved by AICTE/UGC, or equivalent bodies, anywhere in the country, such as;
  • All courses leading to a graduate degree, e.g. B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. etc.
