A new initiative has been introduced by the government of Haryana for talented and meritorious students to offer them financial assistance in the form of the Haryana State Merit Scholarship 2024.  This initiative has been started to motivate talented girl students who wanted to pursue higher education but because of the financial crisis never got the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.  Under this Haryana State Merit Scholarship 2024 selected candidates will get a scholarship amount throughout their undergraduate degree which will cover their educational expenses. 

The selection of students will be done based on the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and academic records required.  All the candidates must submit their application form before the deadline after which they are not able to avail the benefits of this scholarship. • To financially help such talented minds of India the Education Department of Haryana has implemented this Haryana state merit scholarship which covers their educational expenses for 3 years until they complete their undergraduate courses. 
• In case any candidate didn’t appear in the final examination due to a medical condition then the scholarship for that particular year will be renewed next year.  The selected candidates will get a scholarship amount of 3000 per annum in their bank account via direct bank transfer method.

The objective of the Haryana State Merit Scholarship

The main aim of the Haryana State Merit Scholarship is to make all the financially weak girl students educated the same as the financially privileged students. With the rising amount of college fees, many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop in their education. Through this Haryana State Merit Scholarship, students will easily pay their graduation fees. The selected students will receive Rs. 3,000 for the duration of graduation.

• Many students are very motivated towards their studies but the high rising amount of school fees cannot be affordable by economically disadvantaged students. This will encourage many talented women to fulfill their passion and make their family or India proud. It will be our responsibility to financially support and offer proper guidance to such talented women.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
• The candidate should be a female.
• Candidates must complete 10 + 2 examinations with at least 60% marks in the Haryana-recognised School.
• Candidates should enroll in undergraduate courses in Haryana state.
• The female candidate should score at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
• There will be no annual income criteria for the selection of eligible students.

Application Fee

There will be no application fees for the submission of the Haryana State Merit Scholarship form.

Selection Process

• The prize will only be given out based on merit. If multiple students have identical grades, the percentage of marks will be calculated to three decimal places. Priority will go to the candidate who is the youngest.
• The head of the institution will recommend the recipient of the scholarship and forward the completed paperwork on the official proforma. Every year, before the deadline or prescribed date, the awarding body prescribes it for the eligible candidate.
• If it is discovered that the information provided in the declaration or application form is inaccurate or incomplete, the scholarship will be terminated.
• The scholarship will not be renewed if it is later determined that the scholar is ineligible for any reason.
• The candidate’s conduct and progress must be satisfactory for the scholarship to be awarded.
• The Government reserves the right to alter the Scholarship at any time.
• As evidence of the money paid, the Principals will forward the receipt and the list of students who have been awarded to the Directorate.

Haryana State Merit Scholarship Apply Online

• Students first need to visit the official website of the Department of Higher Education in Haryana.
• The home page will appear on your screen here you need to click on a Student Registration option under the student column.
• After that, the registration page will be on your screen where you need to enter your Parivar Patra number.
• Now you will get an OTP on your registered mobile number.
• Fill in the OTP and required column and complete all the details asked in your registration form which will contain:
  • College Name
  DistrictDepartmentCandidate Name
  • DOB
  • Email ID, etc
• After filling all these details you need to click on the Submit button to complete the process.
