The Ministry of Minority Affairs which is under the Government of India has created a lot of different types of scholarships but these scholarships are only available for people who are coming from minority communities. People who belong to minority communities and are coming from religions which are very less in India can apply for this prestigious scholarship presented by the Ministry which is for minority communities. The winners will be provided Rupees 20000 per year to complete their education in India if they are not able to.

Overview of the Moma Scholarship

The Ministry of Minority Affairs which is under the Government of India has created four different scholarships for the people who are coming from the economically backward section of the society or are coming from minority communities available in India. The beneficiaries will be getting 20000 Rupees per annum to continue their education in India. The people will be provided 30 lakhs scholarships under the pre-matric scholarship scheme and 5 lakhs scholarships under the post-matric scholarship scheme. If you want to get this scholarship according to the performance that you are putting forward in the academic department then you will be getting 60000 scholarships. The objective of the Moma Scholarship

If you are someone who is coming from the economically backward section of the society then you can apply for the minority community scholarship that is presented by the Indian government. The students will be provided monetary benefits to continue their education and the students will be able to use financial assistance to take admission to private institutions or government institutes. The monetary benefit will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries and the beneficiaries will be using the monetary benefits according to their desirability. Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

If you are currently studying in class first to class 10th then you will be eligible to apply for the pre-matric scholarship schemes presented by the Indian Government but these scholarship schemes are only available for students who belong to the minority community. The annual family income of the students must be less than rupees 1 lakh and they must have scored more than 50% marks in the last qualifying exams. • Students must be studying in classes 1 to 10.
• Students must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous final exam.
• The annual family income must not exceed INR 1 Lakh.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

The students who are currently in classes 11th and 12th will be able to apply for the post-matric scholarship scheme presented by the Indian government however the annual income of the students must be rupees less than 2 lakh. The students will be provided monetary benefits to continue their education. Check out the eligibility criteria for this scholarship from the pointers given below:

• Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible under this scholarship scheme.
• Students who have been admitted in technical and vocational courses in ITI/Industrial Training Centres affiliated with NCVT (at class 11 & 12 level) can also apply.
• Students who are pursuing Polytechnics and other courses are also eligible to apply.
• Students must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous final exam.
• Note: Certificate courses and any other courses of less than one year duration are not covered under this scheme.
• The annual family income must not be more than INR 2 Lakhs.

Selection Process

• The candidates for applying for the minority scholarships will be selected based on the eligibility criteria presented by the Indian government.
• Preference will be given to the people who belong to the minority community and the students will be selected based on their annual family income.
• The students can be called for an interview round based on the eligibility criteria that is presented by the Indian government; however, they must also perform well in their last qualifying exams.
• The exam that the students have given recently must be done very well and they must have scored more than 50% marks in the last qualifying examination to be eligible.

• The candidates will first have to visit the official Moma Scholarship website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
• The home page will open on your screen.
• Click on the option called Fresh Application
• A new page will open on your screen and you have to click on the option called New Student Register Here
• The instructions will open on your screen.
• Tick mark the declaration.
• Click on the “Continue” option.
• Enter all of the details.
• Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
• Enter the captcha code y
• Click the “Register” option.
• Now you have to log in using your credentials.
• Click on the option called Application Form
• The application form will be displayed on the screen
• Enter details including the State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.
• Click on “Save & Continue”
• Upload the documents.
• Click on “Final Submission’’
• The application form will be successfully submitted.
