Kalia Scholarship 2024: Apply for Empowering the Farmer’s Child Education

As we previously talked about Kalia Yojana, was implemented by the Government of Odisha for the small, landless, and marginal farmers of the state to offer them some financial assistance for their better survival. Now Kalia Yojana has come up with a new initiative of Kalia Scholarship for the Academic year 2024, where the scholarship will be given to the children of beneficiary farmers of Kalia Yojana. The scholarship will motivate these children to complete their education without the worry of paying their fees and other educational essentials.

All the students of Odisha whose parents are part of the Kalia Yojana must apply for The Kalia Scholarship 2024 to get financial assistance in the form of scholarships to complete their graduation and post-graduation. The selection of students will be done based on their merit. This scholarship will be run under the guidance of the Department Of Agriculture And Farmers Empowerment, Government of Odisha.

When we talk about education and its importance, then it is necessary for all the citizens of our country, there will be no specific criteria for that. It is the right of every person. Now, why is education important for farmers’ children? So, the answer will be simple and valid, farmers will play an important role in producing crops for the country and increasing the economy. But they don’t have enough money to send their children to school to complete their education.

The objective of the Odisha Kalia Scholarship

The main aim of the Kalia Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the children of farmers who have already enrolled under the Kalia Yojana. The students will be able to complete the schooling, graduation, and post-graduation courses without the pressure of arranging their fees. The scholarship will mainly focus on the students who belong to the SC\ST community and the amount of the scholarship will directly transfer into their registered bank account. Students just need to focus on their studies and building their goals to make their parents proud. Around 6 lakh students will benefit from this Kalia Scholarship.

Kalia Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate for the scholarship:

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
• Parents of students must be enrolled in Kalia Yojana.
• The parents should be small, landless, and marginal farmers of Odisha.
• The general, OBC, SC\ST all are able to apply for the Kalia scholarship.
• The students must enroll in only one type of scholarship scheme at a time of Kalia scholarship, or they can switch from the other scholarship.
• Students must be studying in any government or vocational college.
• Students can take the benefit of scholarships for only one professional course.
• The following courses are available under the scholarship: Animal Husbandry, Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, and a few more.

The students who will be selected under the Kalia Scholarship must get the  following benefits:

• The Department Of Agriculture And Farmers Empowerment, Government of Odisha introduced the Kalia Scholarship for the students of farmers.
• The farmers of the state who registered under the Kerala Yojana will get financial assistance for their education.
• The children will be able to complete their schooling, graduation, and post-graduation courses with the help of scholarships.
• Students will be able to get free vocational education when they enroll in government or state-level institutions.
• The government of Odisha will be introducing around Rs. 10,000 crores for the students of the Kalia scholarship.
• This amount of financial assistance will be distributed over 3 years.
• The students will be tension-free for their educational expenses.

• Applicants first need to visit the State Scholarship Website, Government of Odisha.
• The homepage will appear on your screen
• Here you have to select the option  Apply for Scholarship.
• Now a new page will open on your screen, here you have to select the Department, then click on Department Of Agriculture And Farmers Empowerment.
• After that select the Scheme called Kalia Scholarship, and fill in the other details.
• Now a new page will open on your screen, here you have to enter your Aadhaar number, password, and captcha code.
• After this you have to click on the Sign in button, then the scholarship page will open.
• Enter the necessary details and all the required documents at the last click on the submit button.

• Applicants first need to visit the Official Website of the State Scholarship, Government of Odisha.
• The homepage will appear on your screen, here you have to select the option Login.
• Now click on the Student Login, after this the login page will open on your screen.
• Here you have to enter your Aadhar no. Password and click on the Sign in button.
• After fulfilling all the details, the login process will be completed.

Institute Login

• Applicants first need to visit the Official Website of the State Scholarship, Government of Odisha.
• The homepage will appear on your screen, here you have to select the option Login.
• Now click on the Institute Login, after this the login page will open on your screen.
• Here you have to select the Institute type, and Password, and click on the Sign in button.
• After fulfilling all the details, the login process will be completed.

Track the Application Status

• Applicants first need to visit the Official Website of the State Scholarship, Government of Odisha.
• The homepage will appear on your screen, here you have to select the option of Know Your Status.
• Now a new page will open on your screen, here enter your Aadhar no. or Application no.
• After filling in these details click on the Get OTP button.
• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and then put it to the form for more information.
