Smart India Hackathon is a platform that provides a new initiative to help the Government and Private sectors by hiring talented and intelligent students who can think outside of their range and create solutions for those particular problems. Smart India Hackathon Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be permanent residents of India.
- Students should be studying in class 8th to 12th standard and UG, PG, or Phd level can participate.
Smart India Hackathon Selection Process
The selection of students will be done on the following basis:
- The SIH will get the problem statements from the ministries, NGOs, PSUs, and other leaders from the industry.
- After the release of problem statements, the SPOC-registered Colleges or Universities will conduct an internal hackathon, and from many students, the best-performing students will be selected.
- There will be 5 teams and 2 waitlisted teams which will go for the next round.
- Among the five teams, 4 will be selected for PSUs and 1 team will be allotted for students in the innovative category.
- Next, the chosen team’s team leaders will submit suggestions for PSs via college SPOC for the SIH 2023 final assessment. To determine the winners, the submitted solution will be assessed.
