The National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies has been introduced by the University Grants Commission, Government of India for the students who belong to economically weaker sections of India and cannot afford their educational expenses. Many students are financially weak and because of this, they cannot continue their post-graduation at the recognized University/College/institution in India. To financially help such meritorious and needy students, the Government of India has implemented this National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies.

All the selected students will get financial assistance of Rs up to 15,000 per annum for the duration of 10 months for 2 years or until the completion of their Post-graduate course. The University Grants Commission, Government of India has started a National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies for the 1st year Postgraduate students who want to study in Indian-recognized colleges. The students whose financial condition is unstable will get educational expenses of Rs 15,000 per year for 10 months until the completion of their pursuing course. Students need to fill out their application form by the deadline which is on 31st December 2023. After the deadline, no one is able to avail of the benefit of the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies.

• Students must be enrolled in 1st year of Postgraduate courses with an age limit of less than 30 years.  After the filling and submission of the application form, the selection of eligible students will be done on the basis of their eligibility criteria and documents submitted with the application form, if all the documents and criteria match with this scholarship criteria then they are selected for financial assistance.

Objective of National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies

The main purpose of the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies is to support economically weaker section students who are currently enrolled in 1st year of Postgraduate courses in Indian-recognized colleges or universities. Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be a permanent resident of India.
• The students should study in 1st year Post Graduate courses in Indian recognized colleges/universities/institutions.
• The annual family income of students should not be more than 2.5 lakh per annum.
• The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years during the admission in PG or in 1st year.
• The open, distance, correspondence, private, and part-time students who have been admitted to PG programs are not eligible to apply for this grant.
