The main aim of the Nagaland Scholarship Portal is to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the financially privileged students. Nagaland Post Matric Scholarship

The Nagaland Post Matric Scholarship is a Centrally Sponsored Scholarship which is introduced by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the students of Nagaland who are currently enrolled in classes above 11th standard. This scholarship will encourage and motivate students to complete their educational expenses. This Nagaland Post Matric Scholarship is 90% sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and 10% is sponsored by the Government of Nagaland.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be permanent residents of Nagaland and belong to scheduled tribe communities of the state.
•  The candidate must be studying in class 11th onward to be eligible for the Nagaland Post Matric Scholarship.
• The Annual family income of a Candidate should not be more than 2.5 lakh.
• Applicants should not be involved in any government or semi-government jobs.
• Candidates should not take scholarships from any other sources.
• The applicant must be affiliated with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, the Scheme Implementing Agency, and come from an institution with a valid AISHE/UDISE code.

Nagaland State Merit Scholarship

The Nagaland State Merit Scholarship is introduced for the students of the state who are studying inside or outside the state. Here scholarship amount will be given to the candidates based on their merit scores. Students who completed their 10th boards are eligible to apply for post- matric courses.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be a permanent resident of Nagaland and must be enrolled in Post Matric courses.
• Students must score at least 80% marks in their previous classes to be eligible for the scholarship scheme.
• A student must be enrolled in the course and in the first year of study to apply for Fresh Application.

State Research Scholarship

The State Research Scholarship is implemented for the students of Nagaland who are enrolled in M.Phil/Ph.D./ D.Litt courses in Indian Government recognized institutes. The students who are selected for this State Research Scholarship will get financial assistance directly into their bank account. The amount of benefit will depend on the course the candidate is enrolled in. Students can only apply for fresh applications in the 1st year of their M.Phil/Ph.D./ D.Litt courses.
