A great scholarship scheme was introduced on Monday 12th February 2024 by the Jharkhand cabinet for the education of girl children.  Under the Manik Munda scholarship scheme 2024, the Jharkhand cabinet has decided to offer financial help to those dissolving and meritorious girls of a state who are enrolled in technical education courses. The selected candidate will get a scholarship amount every year during the duration of their pursuing courses which may be diploma or technical engineering.

Overview of Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme

The Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme is an initiative of the Jharkhand Cabinet for the education of girl students. Under this scholarship scheme, the girl students who are in diploma courses will get a scholarship amount of rupees 15000 per annum and the girls who are in engineering courses will be getting a scholarship amount of rupees 30000 per annum.  The duration of the scholarship amount will depend on the marks scored in the pursuing year.

• The minimum or qualifying marks will be 50% in each semester.  According to the sources, the number of girl and boy students enrolled in engineering courses will be in a ratio of 6:1.  it means out of every 6 boys in an engineering course there will be only one girl who got this opportunity to get enrolled.

The objective of the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme

The main aim of the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme is to make all financially weak girl students educated the same as the boys students who are financially privileged and enrolled in technical courses. With the rising amount of college fees many girl students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop from their education. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a permanent resident of Jharkhand.
• The applicant should be a Girl candidate.
• Girls should enroll in Diploma or Engineering courses in Jharkhand-recognized universities or colleges.
• The candidate should score at least 50% marks in their previous examination to renew the scholarship benefits.
