Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship for Minorities 2023- Apply Online

In this article, we are going to inform you about the scholarship scheme introduced by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Telangana for the students who belong to minority communities called Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship. This scholarship is mainly for students who belong to minority communities and want to pursue postgraduate and Ph.D. from foreign universities. There are many students who want to pursue higher education from abroad, but due to insufficient financial conditions, they cannot afford the expenses. So under this scholarship, the selected candidates will get financial assistance up to 20 lakh which cover there.

Educational expenses. For availing the benefit of the Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship for minority candidates, annual family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 2 lakh. The application procedure for Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship for Minorities will be started on 22nd August 2023 and the last date for registration will be on 21st September 2023. So it is advisable for all the candidates to register themselves before the deadline.

The Government of Telangana has created a Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship for minority students who aim to study abroad but due to unstable financial conditions cannot afford its high expenses. To pursue postgraduate or PhD studies in overseas universities in nations including the United States, United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France, and New Zealand, minority students would receive scholarships worth up to Rs 20 lakh under the scholarship scheme. According to eligibility criteria, candidates must score 60% marks in their graduation and achieve a qualifying score on the English proficiency test, Graduate Record Examination (GRE), or Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)

Objective of Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship for Minorities 2023

The main aim of the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship for minorities is to give equal opportunity for students who belong to economically weaker sections and backward communities to get good quality education abroad. Many students dream of studying for their post-graduation or Ph.D. in foreign universities and will get fulfilled without any burden on their families and on themselves. They will get financial assistance of up to Rs. 20 Lakh to pay their educational fees. 500 minority students and graduates will get financial aid under this scholarship scheme each year to pursue postgraduate and doctoral studies overseas.

Eligibility Criteria under Chief Minister Overseas Scholarship for Minorities 2023

• Applicants must be a permanent resident of Telangana.
• Candidates should belong to the Minority community.
• The annual income of candidate’s family should be equal to or less than Rs. 2 lakh/-
• Students must pass Graduation with at least 60% marks.
• Candidates must achieve a qualifying score on the English proficiency test, Graduate Record Examination (GRE), or Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).

  • Mother’s name
  • DOB
  • Area of birth
  • Ration card number
  • Aadhar card number

  • Annual family income, etc.
• As you fill all the necessary details, you need to upload the required documents essential for filling the application form.
• After uploading all the documents click on the submit button for the final submission of the application form
