Chandigarh Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2024: Apply Online and Eligibility Criteria

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has introduced the Chandigarh Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2024 where students who are in class 9th to 10th standard will be getting a scholarship amount. Through the implementation of the Chandigarh Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students, 2024 meritorious and needy students will get financial help to cover their educational expenses. Students who got selected under the Chandigarh Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2024 will need to fulfil all the eligibility criteria required for registration to get financial help.

Chandigarh Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students

The Chandigarh Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students is introduced by the Government of India for the students who are in pre-matric classes to financially support them. The students will get a scholarship amount of up to Rs.225 for day scholars and Rs.525 for hostellers. This scholarship amount will depend on the students who are hostellers or day scholars. The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of the candidates via the DBT method.

• The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. What is a Pre Matric Scholarship?

Pre matric scholarship is introduced for the students who are currently enrolled in class 9th to 10th standard to offer them financial assistance to cover their educational expenses. The childrens should belong to the economically weaker section of the state. The students will be able to pay their school fees, hostel fees, books, or other accommodations.

• The candidate should be a permanent resident of Chandigarh.
• The applicant should enrol in pre matric classes i.e. 9th or 10th standard in the government or Chandigarh recognised board of education.
• The candidate must belong to the SC Community.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
