TN NMMS 2024: Do Online Registration and Check Eligibility

The Directorate of Government Education, Tamil Nadu has announced the TN NMMS Scholarship 2024 for the students of the state who are in Government or Government school. The students need to fill out the application form for appearing under the TN NMMS Examination which will be conducted on 3rd February 2024. The selected candidates from class 9th to 12th standard will get Rs. 12,000 per annum for the expenses of their education. Students need to fill out the application form for TN NMMS Scholarship 2024, the last date for registration will be on 19th December 2023.

Students must score a minimum of 55% marks in the 7th standard for the General Category and 5% marks concession for Reserved category students to be eligible for Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2024. The TN NMMS Scholarship Exam will be conducted in 2 modes. The first paper will contain questions from the Mental Ability Test and the second paper will be from the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

What is the Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship?

The Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship is an initiative of the Directorate of Government Education for the school students. Under this TN NMMS Scholarship selected students will get a scholarship amount that covers their educational expenses. Tamil Nadu National Merit cum Means Scholarship is a great financial support for those students who are not financially strong but have a faith to be an educated person to fulfill all their dreams and desires.

• Students who pass class 7th from any government or government-aided schools expect students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, non-government schools, and residential schools to be eligible. Under the Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship students will be able to continue their studies because they will get financial assistance from 8th class to the 12th class. To be eligible for the scholarship it is necessary to score at least 55% marks in 7th standard.

The objective of TN NMMS 2024

The main aim of TN NMMS Scholarship 2024 is to make all the financially weak students educated the same as the financially privileged students. With the rising amount of school fees, many students are not able to pay it, as they are about to take a drop from school. Through this Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2024 students will easily pay their school fees. The selected students will receive Rs. 1000 every month from 8th class to 12th class. Many students are very motivated towards their studies but the high rising amount of school fees cannot be affordable by economically disadvantaged students.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
• Students who pass class 7th and are now in 8th standard will be eligible for the scholarship.
• Students must score a minimum of 55% marks in the 7th standard for the General category and 50% for Reserved category students to be eligible for TN NMMS Scholarship 2024.
• Students from government or government-aided schools expect students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, non-government schools, and residential schools to be eligible.
• The annual income should not be more than Rs. 3.5 lakh per annum.
