A new scholarship scheme has been introduced for the Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backwards Class students of Chandigarh who are currently enrolled in the pre-matric or post-matric scholarship education level. Through the implementation of the Chandigarh Scholarship 2024, meritorious and needy students will get financial help to cover their educational expenses. Students who got selected under the Chandigarh Scholarship 2024 will need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for registration. Overview of Chandigarh Scholarship

The Chandigarh Scholarship is introduced by the Government of India on the National Scholarship Portal for SC/ST/OBC students for financially supporting students. The SC/ST students will get a scholarship amount per year to cover their tuition fees or other expenses. The OBC students will get Rs. 1,000 to 700 per year; this scholarship amount will depend on the students who are hostellers or day scholars. The scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of the candidates via the DBT method.

• The annual family income of candidates from the SC/ST community should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh and OBC students’ annual family income should be less than Rs. 1 lakh. The best part of this Chandigarh Scholarship is that there are no Application fees for its submission. The selection of students will be done based on their eligibility criteria and academic records.

The Chandigarh Post Matric Scholarship For SC students will be a great initiative for candidates who cannot afford their educational expenses. The main aim of the Chandigarh Post Matric Scholarship Scheme For Transgender Students is to provide an opportunity or equality to get a proper education as normal children. The transgender students from class 11th to post-graduation level will get a scholarship amount. The selected candidates will get up to Rs. 500 for day scholars and Rs. 1,200 for hostellers. The last date for registration under the Chandigarh Post Matric Scholarship For SC students will be on 20th Jan 2024. The selection of students will be done based on their eligibility criteria and academic records.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Chandigarh.
• The applicant should be Transgender.
• Candidates must complete their 10th examination from a recognized university or Board of Secondary Education.

Through this scholarship scheme, students will get a scholarship amount into their bank account via the DBT Method.

The students who got selected will get Rs. 525 per annum to cover their study expenses for the duration of 10 months.Through this scholarship scheme students will get a scholarship amount into their bank account via DBT Method.
