CMSS Scholarship 2024: Check Eligibility and Application Process

One of the best initiatives has been taken by the Education Department of Gujarat for the Meritorious students who wanted to pursue higher education but because of financial classes, they cannot pursue it.  To financially help such deserving students, the Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme has been introduced. The talented students will get a scholarship amount to cover their 50% tuition fees. CMSS Scholarship amount will be given based on their eligibility criteria or academic record.

Importance of CMSS Scholarship

The CMSS Scholarship is an important benefit for those students who belong to economically weaker sections of Gujarat and come from scheduled caste or scheduled tribe communities who will get financial help to complete their educational expenses.  Under this CMSS Scholarship, the selected students will get a scholarship amount that covers half of their tuition fees for diploma or degree courses.  Students who got selected for the diploma courses will get a scholarship amount of up to rupees 50000 for the duration of their pursuing course. 

• Students who are in degree courses will get up to Rupees 1 lakh for the duration of their pursuit of degree courses. This scholarship amount will be transferred into the bank account of an eligible candidate via direct bank transfer method.  Students must fill in their application form before the deadline as after it no one can avail of the financial benefit.

The objective of the CMSS Scholarship

The main aim of CMSS scholarship is to financially help the students who are in diploma or degree courses but because of the financial crisis, they are not able to pay their tuition fees.  To help such deserving students the government of Gujarat has introduced this CMS scholarship where selected students will get 50% of their tuition fees to pay it until and unless they complete their diploma or degree courses.  It will encourage and motivate multiple students who are talented in the field of education but because of financial crises, they are not able to enrol themselves in particular courses.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be a permanent resident of Gujarat state.
• The candidate should enroll in diploma or degree courses in Gujarat recognized university or Institute.
• The annual family income of the Candidate should not be more than 4.5 lakh.
• The applicant should belong to the SC/ST or EBC community.
• Students must score at least 60% marks in their 10th or 12th standard for enrolling in Diploma and degree courses.
